IS THIS WHAT CRUISE will look like?

Two different cruise lines have just released their post-pandemic plans for resuming sailing. We have the full details of exactly what these cruise lines are planning to do, there really comprehensive plans. We break down exactly cruise will look like for these two lines..and more importantly with other big lines follow the same plan?

They state:
The Operating Protocol is subject to review and change at any time. As the situation evolves, operating practices must be adapted; this includes the potential for cruise suspension. These practices do not eliminate the risk. Rather, they are designed to reduce risk and slow the spread of illness by removing known transmission sources, increasing awareness, and speeding response time.

Whilst I understand the reasoning behind the measures the cruise lines intend to put in place in order to protect passengers, cruising like any other type of vacation, is meant to be a time of enjoyment and relaxation. What you have described resembles a nightmare. So despite my love for cruising, I cannot see myself cruising any time soon.

In my youth, I used to go camping. I dealt with bad weather, ticks, bears, and campers who threatened to kill my dog because he stole the meat off their grill. That all sounds more peaceful than the cruise scenario you’re describing. And that unsmiling medical representative near the end of your video was scarier than Nurse Ratchet in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. She sure doesn’t look like she wants to be on a cruise ship, and if this is how it’s going to be, I feel the same way.

I hope they have enough crew on board to do all this extra cleaning. I don't want them to have to work harder than they already do.

As an RN this is so reassuring.... it sounds like what I’m used to at work .. not sure it’ll feel much different from being at work... but a cruise is a cruise ... I’ll be there!!!

I like the idea that our cabin will be serviced just once a day. I have always made it a habit to wipe down our cabin’s high contact points after the steward cleans the room. I am reminded of when I was a little girl on vacation with my Grammie. She cleaned every hotel room bathroom before she allowed me to touch anything. This was in the 1950’s. She also insisted on wearing white gloves. She said it was important to be dressed up on vacation but now I think she and I wore gloves to keep our hands clean!

This sounds like a nightmare for staff and passengers. You will not be able to forget even for a moment the so called danger you are in. I’m a nurse and think this is over the top for a disease that has a 99% cure rate. So sorry to see the world in full panic mode. We need to live not just exist afraid of everything. Thanks so much to you both for keeping us informed of this changes. I will not be cruising at present.

I think I would rather wait to cruise when things calm down a bit. Seems to be a bit severe for someone trying to enjoy a vacation.

Having watched this video it reminds me of the anxiety experienced just before you are due to go into hospital for an operation !!! For goodness sake you are supposed to be looking forward to a happy and relaxing vacation. Whilst appreciating the new protocols that must be put in place, these proposed new measures are way over the top. In particular public toilets on the ship being closed and having to return back to your cabin is ridiculous. My wife and I have already planned a cruise next year but if these protocols as described are in place for future cruises we will not continue as planned. Keep up the good work Ben & David always enjoy watching your videos.

No thank you. No cruising for now. The new procedures may reassure those with a dire dread of germs but they put me off. I'll wait to see how things really go. We have three cruises scheduled for next year but I won't hesitate to cancel them all rather than sail on a "hospital " ship. D

WOW it will be cleaner on a cruise ship than in my own home...I will definitely go cruising😆

No thanks. Seems like I would be spending half the cruise waiting around for things to happen. Boarding will take longer, meal venues will require more time, entertainment with limited seating available and spending time to return to your cabin to us the restroom. This will cause elevators to be more busier than usually on what is suppose to be down times. We are waiting it out and just going to cancel October cruise.

Fantastic idea! I’m all for the added safety. If they have to shut down public areas for an hour mid day to clean and sanitize, that’s fine by me.

I'm glad for the extra safety measures. Time to embrace change and the new world. Resist fear. Embrace change.

I have never been on a cruise. Me and my friend booked Baltimore to Bermuda in September. I hope things are better by then. I think its great that the cruise lines are taking extra measures to make sure their guests feel safe. Great info guys thanks

Booked cruises for January 2021 and February 2021 this week. Was on Oasis of the seas 3/8-3/15 2020. Last cruise before shutdown. Royal was cleaning constantly. We had to sanitize our hands while being watched before we entered any shop, restaurant or theater. I felt very safe. I will do what is required but it caught my breath when you said all public restrooms would be closed. Only stateroom bathrooms. That would be a pain.Love your videos.

Definitely cruising September 2020 and can't wait. Very impressed with all the safety precautions being put in place.

Those are very good measures to ensure the health of the passengers. I don't mind them and I'll take a cruise as soon as cruising is available. For those who chicken out, you will be kind to leave more room for us.

I’m ready to cruise in Europe, Middle East, and Transatlantic back to USA in October/November 2020! I knew it would be safer/cleaner than ever, when I booked while quarantined. I don’t mind all the changes. I believe it will be an amazing experience no matter what. I did pay more, so that I get early embarkation. (It maybe crazy busy!) I feel it’s worth the extra money to have an easier time from the start, with a lot of extra perks. RCCL, The Key; brilliant!

Nope... ill pass. Cruising was always my favorite way to travel and this whole thing has ruined it for me. This is gonna make things not fun anymore.
