The Word of God teaches that anything that takes the place of God is an idol.
Food, money, status, alcohol etc.
None of these things are bad if they don't have control over you.

"But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom." 🙏 Yo'Nazareth

I wasn’t addicted, but I used to use alcohol as a crutch for dealing with stress at the end of a hard day and for easing my social anxiety. That changed when I had a taste of the peace and joy that comes from being filled with the Holy Spirit. A chapter in one of Pastor Vlad’s books, Spirit Filled Jesus, helped open my eyes to this where he compared being filled with the Holy Spirit (by “drinking” the word and praying) to drinking alcohol.

Since then I’ve hardly had a drink again. If I ever feel like I “need a drink” I now know that I need the Lord to heal and cleanse my soul. I’ll have a drink on occasion when it seems fitting, or when a little wine would be good for the stomach, but those occasions are pretty rare. I also don’t enjoy the feeling it gives me anymore.

Cliff didn't explain that in the original Greek and Hebrew there are no words to distinguish between fermented and unfermented grape juice. Also, the word "wine" was a generic term used to discribe grape juice (fermrnted or unfermented). Unlike today, when one says "wine" we know they mean an alcoholic beverage. In antiquity, it wasn't so. Another thing to keep in mind, alcoholic beverages then had minimal alcohol content compared to today's alcoholic beverages.

Why would Jesus Christ turn water into alcohol? Does God temp people to sin? Would Christ encourage people to drink? I don't think so! Context is everything and understanding both cultural and historical contexts and an understanding of the Hebrew and Greek are what's missing from most of the "drinking is okay just not getting drunk" arguments.

We are called to be a royal priesthood to the Lord (priests did not drink) and unblemished from the things of the world. God has called us to be in the world but not of the world.

I think it's a personal thing between u and Jesus. If u are convicted of it, don't do it.

I don’t think so Jesus would have had wine mixed with alcohol 🤔 We have so many things to copy Jesus & try to be like Him in our character. So, let’s focus in giving good fruit 👍

There’s no JOY that comes except presence of Holy Spirit !
