Porting composite video PAL/NTSC color to Raspberry Pi Pico, it would be awesome.

at first i thought the pico was just a differently branded atmega breakout, but these features (especially usb too) for this price is simply astonishing!

The pico looks good, but wi-fi connectivity on the ESP32 chips opens up so many possibilities that it's become a per-requisite for me to switch.

Would be really cool if the Pico can be turned into a little GPU for other microcontrollers. Not only would it add HDMI output to other microcontrollers, it might be able to off load some of the graphical processing from the main MCU to the pico. Although i don't know how much free CPU time is left with this, I'm pretty sure the pico has a co-processor that runs the bit banging code right? So maybe the main processor still have enough resources to manage some sprites, maybe some simple 3d rendering?

That's awesome. Why aren't people doing this on the black & blue pills that have been around for ages!

Wow,
Is pico able to get hdmi signals? And probably drive ambilight leds?

nothing crazy, hdmi is already a digital interface and running a higher clk cpu its possible to set a picture, if the code space is large enough you could do a gif motion on the monitor

Make your VGA library compatible with that please.

Shorts suck. Shorts ENFORCE portrait-format video. Say no to shorts.

I was waiting to see what you'd start doing with this little board!

If it’s possible on the Raspberry Pico, it should work on the esp32 ?

If I showed this to my friend Alayna Philip, a RF engineer, will she cringe at how bad a breadboard is for high frequencies or amazed that it worked?

I'd like to see Linus tech tips test the signal with their special machines.

I think with a bit of video editing you could shave a few seconds off this one. :) Do i see a PCB coming up?

I just wish that thing had a little more RAM.
Or maybe a bitbannged DDR interface?

Wow. Electronics that have wires and resistors...like every electronic device ever made.

Did you make a R/2R DAC powered HDMI port? Holy crap :O :D <3

it was a nervwracking stream, with a well organized presenter :D

Nice! Would be great if there was an open source (open hardware) for a simple HDMI graphics card with output of 1920x1080. Imagine the possibilities of creating your own mini desktop PC based on your own design (creating your own PCBs and components). Does a such project exist?

It looks impressive, but as I see it, it is also mostly useless. Takes far to much resources away from useful things. As a demo it it very impressive, but nothing more.
