I just got it for my third time 2 days ago and have had a pretty good experience with it.

Caused me severe neurological symptoms to the point doctors thought I was having a stroke. When I figured out that birth control was causing all my issues I was treated like I was crazy and the doctor offered me antidepressants.

I currently have the Mirena which is due to be removed this spring. I was diagnosed with DUB dysfunctional uterine bleeding where I was having 18 to 20 day menses, passing clots severe anemia.Could not go anywhere without a change of clothes. The IUD was the lesser evil between ablation or hysterectomy Since insertion prds very light with episodes of no period. Now I'm getting to the end just had my 2nd period inabout a year. Still satisfied with my decision.

Very anxious
Breast extremely tender
Worrying a lot more
And latest one was I couldn’t sleep

Holy shit I've been dealing with massive panic attacks and depression since i started using the mirena. I need to get this thing OUT OF ME ASAP.

Had one fitted 4 periods ago. Became depressed, suicidal and no libido. But my anxiety went away. 4 periods later my body expelled it. My womb would not stop bleeding afterwards. Huge clots that landed me in hospital for 4 days. Had to have TXA to stop the bleeding.

1 week later I’m finally through the mirena crash. I feel bouncy and happy again. I’m still in pain from the womb and cervix injury, but I’m healing.

I purposely avoided this video 4 periods ago thinking this woman was being negative. I now realise she isn’t negative enough. The mirena is evil! I’ve tried many times and each time it’s injured or perforated my uterus.

I got my Mirena in 2019 And I just got it out a few days ago and I lost over 40 lb on it my appetite completely disappeared. Its been hell honestly and everu doctor ive been to scoffed at the idea that it could be the Mirena.

In Arizona the female doctors in OBGYN try out one in without discussing. She put “procedure” on consent, thought it was a biopsy of a tumor. Right before procedure she said IUD, I asked her what that was & as she just told me I had reservations. The doctor throws a tantrum leave the room. Messing with hormones with other risk factors such as smoking & steroids or other medications can increase risks for blood clots.

I’m currently crying, I use more than 8pads still getting the iud, barely sleeping because I have Change every 30 mins and an appointment to get it is taking forever, I’m frustrated.

I went from having the nicest skin to having break outs on my face that will not go away. In the past when I had a pimple it would go away quickly and not leave a scar. Now they remain forever and leave scars. Horrible! Taking it out next Monday.

I’m watching this video as I’m profusely bleeding after having the IUD placed 2 days ago. I haven’t had my period return after having a baby, so it’s 100% from this IUD. They said not to worry… but I’m VERY worried. I’m just going to have it removed. Screw it.

I have had Mirena for one year. It was the first birth control I had ever been on. My doctor recommended it because I have heavy periods and bad cramps. But over the year I’ve had it my periods have not gotten any lighter if anything they’re a bit longer than before, and my cramps are worse and I have been bloated every single day that I have had this IUD. A new doctor put me on birth control pills temporarily while I still have my IUD because they said I can help regulate your period. I wonder if it’ll help with the bloating and discomfort? Any ideas? Or should I just get my IUD taken out and be on some other type of birth control?
