Perfect Ruin - John Smith & Odette (MEP Part)

Back from a very long haitus!

This is my part for WCRfan126's Halloween MEP

Theme:
Two lovers get married. One of them kills their spouse and years later their dead spouse comes back as a spirit. The spirit ends up falling for another mortal. Whether or not the mortal is in love with them as well or even aware that a spirit is in love with them is up to you.

Story:
Odette appears to John and tries to seduce him, but he is distracted by the ghostly projection in the waterfall, which is actually a flashback of Odette's life (where Clayton married and killed her). Turning around and seeing this, she is reminded of her past life and is devastated. Since she was killed by a shotgun John figures it's a good idea to put his gun down.

The moment when he puts his gun down to not scare her further really gets me o.o like he's very shaken himself with the whole "ghost" thing but he still wants her to feel better. That part was very powerful to me, and really the whole scene as a whole is really well done, I love the atmosphere you gave it, the flashbacks, her eyes, the light you added on John too... really great work there.

I just love this video so much. In the beginning of the flashbacks it looks like Odette and Clayton were really in love and happy but suddenly they started fighting in their marriage and one day Clayton just shoots her. The way John puts his gun down as he sees that's how she died and he didn't want to frighten her is just beautiful. This is a work of art
