👣 I feel like it's good practice to declutter every few months. I find myself decluttering things I wanted to hold onto longer, but just haven't used. It also teaches me buying habits on what I like to spend and can then adjust moving forward.

One thing I recently did was to photograph about 17-20 items that I thought an antique store might be able to sell, and sent the photographs to the antique store owner by email. I am now awaiting her response--I hope she likes most of the items! It's one way I am attempting to declutter. Also I've taken some loads to a Christian mission that makes money by selling items. I'm one of the ones that needs to do a whole house declutter before attempting the 1 in, 1 out rule. Thanks, Marissa, for another wonderful and fun video! You are so good at this! You motivate me!!

👣 Loving your channel. It’s so helpful when folks started with sentimental-clutter hurdles. I was raised to put heart-value in things, so unlearning that (to the extent I struggle to let go of things that are, ostensibly, not sentimental or valuable, or push me well above my clutter threshold) has been hard and helpful work. I’d say I’m not shooting for Minimalism, per se, but having what I like and use exist comfortably in our space and lives. Looking forward to implementing these printables. Thank you!

This rule is golden! I recently found out about it and started using it with some of the Christmas gifts I received. I just decluttered my son’s toys while watching your toy decluttering video and I told my husband AND his grandparents that we’re now doing the one in one out rule for his toys. I’m also giving myself the whole year to declutter/organize my entire house. 👣

👣 I do the "one out, one in" rule. I don't buy something new until I have something I am going to declutter. Ex. I don't buy a new pair of pants until I have a pair that wear out.

I started 2021 decluttering, thinking there wasn't much I could get rid of, but I looked carefully and had definitely clutter.
