Interestingly, with the German Empire one, they are considered separate characters, and the rectangular one is called the reichtangle.

Technically, the Poland works either way, I’ve seen some countryball creators have Poland with their actual flag, and I do it as well.

It wouldn't be called countryballs if they were different shapes-

Now actually the German Empire is allowed to exist as a ball, usually reichtangle is used when the german empire would say "anschluss time"

- the uk is depicted with a top hat and monocole
- kazakhstan is depicted as a rectangle
- russia is depicted as a massive ball
- isreal is depicted as a cube

Another rule for me it's that, Austria-Hungary should be draw with their shields such as glasses (like USA). It's awesome and cute!

There’s some grey areas like 1. the German Reich reichtangle, Reichtangle can refer to the monster in Story.
2. The usa’s sunglasses can be remove before WW2.
3. Poland’s flag can don’t upside down when doing historical video.
