Preparing for Our First IVF Egg Retrieval in the USA

We finally made it to our first egg retrieval cycle in the USA! If you've been following along for a while, you know that in 2023, we had our very first egg retrieval in Italy. Then, Jessi had two back-to-back surgeries for stage 4 endometriosis. After that, we had two unsuccessful embryo transfers and had to put our IVF plans on hold while we decided what to do next. We are finally starting "Stims" for our first egg retrieval in the US! Fingers crossed and prayers said!

On Feb 13, 1991, we had our third egg retrieval. On that final cycle of IVF, we pulled out all the stops to alleviate stress, exercise, eat healthy, etc. Our twins will be 34 this year. I am SOOO rooting for you.

I also did acupuncture before my IVF process. On the day of my implantation, I painted my toe nails & nails green because it symbolizes fertility for me. My IVF was a success & my twin sons turn 13 next month. Good luck!

Congrats 🎉🎉. A suggestion. The night before implantation assemble one of Nonna's Lasagnas. After implantation toss it into the oven. Then have a dinner Zoom with Nonna in Italy. That little embryo is certain to ""stick around"" with all the good food, and love, surrounding it from clear across the planet. ❤❤

Back in the 80's I was diagnosed with endometriosis. At the time, I was the only one that it went outside of my reproductive organs. I had it on my liver, bowels, and my pancreas. I was on so many different pills. I must've had at least 25 laparoscopies. I had reconstructive surgery twice. My doctor opened my fallopian tubes but they would close after a month. I understand some of what you are going through. I never did have any children. IVF was never an option me. It was so expensive too. I hope and pray that you have at least 3-4 babies. I just KNEW that prediction of 3 or 4 eggs was off! 💪 You're doing great - sending much strength as you stim. Small tip: after the injection, immediately after takjng out the needle, rub the spot to spread out the medicine and keep bruising/soreness to a minimum! My IVF clinic taught me this. From an endo warrior who successfully went through IVF last year (with twins!) ☺️ You got this, Jessi!! 💛

My mother went with the same thing with me back in 1999, it was right when the new IVF was being introduced when they would use less eggs. IVF is a blessing to the world, and so happy for the both of you!!
