124 - Electromagnetic Waves

In this video Paul Andersen details the characteristics of electromagnetic waves. Electromagnetic waves are transverse waves that can move through both mediums and vacuums. The electric and magnetic fields oscillate perpendicular to the wave direction.

Great video, as always, but there is a small problem with the position of infrared and ultraviolet on the chart: they should be inverted!

What em waves are made up of?
You told the properties of em waves but what it is consisted of? Some particles? Electrons, protons, neutrons or combination of some particles? Like alpha, beta, gema waves consist of some particles like that. So what about radio waves, microwave and light waves and x Ray's etc???

I postulate that these waves move as waves only until they are observed. Observation means any conscious use of the information they convey. The human eye is one example. Immediately they are observed, they convert to particles. Light leaving a distant star travels as waves in all directions from it thereby saving energy. If never observed they continue as waves. If observed they convert to particles which need more energy to travel, but they only have to travel a very short distance.

1:32 the ultraviolet is on the wrong side of the spectrum diagram, should be on left side next to visible, and infrared on the right side right from visible

What exactly is oscillating at a given point? Is it some subatomic particle? Like for a mechanical water wave, its the water molecule vibrating, what is it for an electromagnetic wave?

It's the best video to understand e-waves.

he doesn't explain how electromagnetic ways actually go from one place to the other he just says they don't need a medium but how do they travel?

So Em waves don't require a medium. So why are they in wave form then, since waves are formed in mediums like liquids and gases?

really a helpful video
i couldnt understand the differences between the wavelengths
thank you so much really useful

Nice, informative video. It has been noticed in the previous comments that, in the first diagram of the spectrum, the infrared region occupies the position of the ultraviolet region and vice versa.

I know you posted this like 3 years ago.... But this truly helped... Thank you!!

In the spectrum diagram between video time 1:00 t0 2:02, the two words Infrared and ‎‎Ultraviolet should be swapped. Thank you.‎

After a photon pulse leaves the source antenna (or atom) and there is no further transmission do the electric and corresponding magnetic fields continue to oscillate or does the photon essentially become a standing wave? Also, I do not understand how when both the magnetic wave and the electric wave both reach zero at the same time, what initiates the next pulse?

where are the waves man?? all you showed us is graphs of e-field and h-field. Those are just graphs not the waves themselves and you just mentioned their priorities like frequency and wavelength using that graph. but what are those properties in the real wave itself

There is such a thing as electromagnetic waves, electromagnetic spectrum travel on straight directions. What is correct is electromagnetic rays.

Petty cool teaching on behalf of yours, respect !
I am very glad  for your contributions to an over all more enlightened community.
Learning so much, thank you very much,
 have a great day !

The position of infrared and microwaves should be in the opposite directions

So if your roof shingles are made of lead then these waves would not penetrate?🧐

On the Sick and Wrong Podcast, Episode 607, the owner of the Stardust Ranch in Arizona was talking about how his property lies on a great power source on the electromagnetic spectrum, which is why ALIENS like the Greys, the Altarians and the Pleiadians are attracted to his property and the Rainbow Valley in general. That is why I am watching this video. 😂
