The three types of online learners are:
1. Google the answers
2. Google the answers
3. Honest half of the time

"Perform better"

Yes, we can google every question and discuss it with a whole class 👌

Probably because it’s easier to cheat at home.

Yes, statistically online is better cuz u can just look up all answers on google unlike face to face but studying and learning wise it is worse

Online only had “higher” average because of cheating most people didn’t retain any information

The reason productivity dropped and grades rose is because teachers were more lenient and more students cheated on tests. Chegg saw a large rise of test questions last year specifically

The only reason I “performed better” is because I cheated the whole way through😅

Ah yes, students did better in online than those in person, Its not like students that did online can just *look up the answers with no consequences and therefore get better grades*

Statistically better yes, because a lot of people (including myself) looked up the answers half the time. I’m an advocate for technology yet I recognized that actual learning definitely came better and in higher quantities with in person instruction as opposed to online classes. I can also say I’m more motivated to do my assignments, whilst they may be easier on the computer/device, also less boring, the fear of consequence that comes with not doing it isn’t as great as when you have to speak to the teacher face to face.

There’s a difference between “perform better on tests” and “is better than in-person learning”

It really depends on how the professor teaches too. Some professors just read off a pdf files while others make their own precise notes and record lectures you can rewatch.

I personally loved online learning. It's really hard for me to focus in class, during online learning i had more privacy. Drawing and listening to some silent music really helpes me focus but i was never allowed to do it in class, while during online classes no one really cared. My grades went up a lot and i felt much more confident about myself then

I’m curious what “better on average” means because if they were comparing test scores it might not be accurate since it’s much easier to cheat online

Ah yes all students are honest and there is nothing named cheating in this world

“Perform better”

Yeah, because it’s virtual 50% of assignments were super easy, and Google was used a LOT. I was very unprepared for middle school because I never learned anything.

I loved online learning because I didn’t have to waste time with transportation, and if certain lectures were also a waste of time, I could multitask during them. I felt very productive online.

"Ask any student and they will tell u it suck"
"Study has found..." If everyone tell u it suck, it suck, the study is pointless

I actually find it much more difficult to speak up in online classes for some reason, and near impossible to make new friends. However, because now all the classes are recorded, I can rewatch when I don’t get the material the first time, and it does help with learning. And of course, easier to cheat with little quizzes and some certain assessments 🤭

It really does depend on the student. Have anxiety? This is perfect. Have sensory issues? This is perfect. Hate other humans? This is perfect! ...the only classes I hate being online are my singing lessons and language ...unless it's 1 on 1 or if I took lvl 1 in person (for language cuz I can usually get the pronunciation right after that..unless it's a language with a lot of tones) PowerPoints work great!

Look in my defense, learning face to face was already hard so when I was doing online, I completely lost motivation to learn. I just watched YouTube and played my games.
