In this Microsoft Excel video tutorial, I explain how to return the day of the week as text, Monday through Sunday.

📅The first method uses the WEEKDAY function. The WEEKDAY function returns a number, 1 through 7, and each number represents a day of the week. You can then use custom number formatting to display that number as a day of the week, Monday through Sunday.

📅The second method doesn't use the WEEKDAY function, instead it just uses the same custom number formatting as used in the first method.
