How fast can a v6 camaro really go? I know a lot of people talk down on v6 camaros but they are not bad cars . Today i took my camaro out on the road to test out the top speed 😈

The RS package comes with 20 inch low profile run flat tires which makes this V6 camaro capable of hitting 155 mph. Other V6 camaro's come with 19 and 18 inch tires which are speed limited.

I guess I’m just a speed junkie cause I’ve done over 150 several times in my girls 2017 RS. When you said your goal was 130 I was like oh yeah he’s in for a treat 😂. And everyone talking bout the speed limiter is set below 150 can’t possibly be talking from experience. Now chargers/challengers on the other hand (5.7L V8) you’d be lucky to see 140 the most I’ve done in an RT was about 136. The moment you fly by a hemi thats limited to 135 while your V6 is still climbing above 150 is priceless 🤣. I love dodge but you gotta respect Chevy ✊🏽

From my "research" the car will not go past 149, I believe there is some sort of limiter on it from the factory. However removing it might make it go 155.

Many years ago I had a 1971 Dodge Charger 318 4BB Aluminum intake headers. 1 night on RT 33 in Pennsylvania I sunk the 120mph speedometer then heard a loud obnoxious BANG. The rear of the car went airborne then came down then both tires of the front end came up off the ground then i went to a wheel hop side to side about 500 feet or so before I stopped on the shoulder of the road. The driveshaft broke at the Transmission and the Driveshaft catapulted the rear off the Road.

I've had mine to 165MPH on GPS with intake (airaid), exhaust (rear cat del, borla type-S) and a tune. 0-120 was quick after that not so quick. 165 only because i ran out of road.

The electronic speed limiter is at 149 for the 2017 RS. Forward all questions to my lawyer.

The fastest I've got my 2011 v6 camaro was 143 and the fastest I got my 2017 v6 camaro was 147. The camaro v6 us a great sports car (especially if it's your first) but (deep down) I want a V8. It just didn't make sense for me, due to how I was driving to work etc.

I don't do top speed runs often but I did have a instence where my puppy gave birth and I was at college which takes me 30 minutes to get there I made it back to my house in 15 minutes
