At first I didn’t listen to the song bc I thought that the lyrics (which I didn’t know any backstory about) were portraying mutually informed / mutually complicit emotional cheating as a cool sexy empowering thing and I really wasn’t in the headspace to do with that, but like with this backstory it’s kinda clear that she wasn’t dating you AND pretending to love a guy at the same time so now I can listen to the song without getting sad about ppl pretending to love others so thank you for clearing that up😅 this sounds like a hate comment.
