I watched that movie, the concept was absolutely terrifying

I love what I call "One Room Films" . They are usually written much better than big budget movies, with exotic locations.

Snow piercer is another example, but horizontal. Makes you think about the mega structure another country says they are making horizontal

In spanish the name translates to the Hole, putting more focus on the fact they're down there. Where as calling it the plataform, points at the fact you are higher than someone else.

My favorite part of the movie is that there is enough food to feed the whole tower on the table, it's the gluttony and madness of the prisoners that kills the lower levels

I wonder why they changed the title. Originally in Spanish it was called "El Hoyo" which means The Hole. I think it's a better choice because it highlights that it's not really about the platform that descends daily, but rather about both the depths of the hole it occupies as well as the depths of the depravity that the complex itself causes. Absence is more powerful, more frightening, I think.
