There are two types I met while in training for SF, 1. The types who played games or saw movies that made them want to be badasses but they quickly realized that they had to work to make it and it was painful mentally and physically. These quickly became the quitters and went back to their units to live the life of the POG.
2. Those of us who refused to quit, no matter the pain and anguish. No matter our mental state, no matter the blisters on our feet, bruises everywhere and countless abrasions and even broken bones. We never quit even though we knew that we’d most likely pay for this job until we checked out of this world, we knew we’d have bad backs, knees and hips eventually if we made it that far. We fought to make it to the end even though we knew there was a high chance we’d die fighting an enemy but the point was we wouldn’t quit. We became the 1% hooah!

Regret everyday for Not going into the service. I'm 61, helped out here in Country, chasing dope dealers - Human Traffickers in City and in Desert/Woods on Both Borders carrying my own personal weapons for no pay.... Been shot at, stabbed 7 different times, rescued strangers when others ran away, BUT I KNOW in My Heart it doesn't compare to commiting to our Armed Forces...
