I’m watching this at 1700 on a Friday, after the hardest weeks of nursing school yet and 12hrs after one of the worst NOC Shifts I’ve had in recent memory, where I lost two patients, one wasn’t surprising but still sad, the other was one of the most devastating code blues (emergencies requiring CPR &/or AED) in recent memory. I’m absolutely crying right now, not bc I’m overwhelmed, but because this speech is so goddamn inspiring & motivating, and gives me hope that I didn’t have beforehand. I’ve already given classmates a pep talk, who wanted to give up before me, and just now it was my turn.
