preview_player
Показать описание
Copying almost 52GB of files from one NVMe drive to another shows how fast these SSDs drives really can be, hitting speeds of over 2GB/sec. The whole transfer takes under one minute.

SSDs used:
- Samsung 970 Pro (review below)

- Samsung 980 Pro (review below)

Thanks for watching and as always: Stay safe.

Seriously tech reviewers should focus more test like this instead of the generic crystal disk mark test because this is more practical of everyday usage considering that people do a lot of transfer between drives with the uptake of 4K movies. Great job and keep it up with more test like this for future reviews.

I think real performance of the drive can be know on sequential is by only copying single file of large size may be 100GB one single file. When you try to copy a group of file which sums to as said 52GB then it does fluctuate and it depends on files count and individual file size. But, actual maximum potential or cache check can only be done by one single but large file size copy test especially on both separate nvme drive or same nvme drive.

fluctuation is due to large number of files if you copy a single 52 gb file, you'll get a constant 2gb/s+ speed

Hello, is it on a PCI-E 4.0 motherboard you get this result ?

Shouldn't this drive be running at something like 4gb/s to 5gb/s or is your motherboard/cpu bottlenecking it?

And what speed you're getting within same drive file transfer ? I mean 980 pro to 980 pro (copying and pasting file in same drive)

My Samsung 970 evo copies files at lightning speed at start, but speed suddenly drops after copying like around 5Gb of data..
It is only fast at start then drops to like 20mb/s.. What to do

why mine doesn't like this. I got 980 pro 500gb. copying 1.5Gb of multiple files to 970 evo. it tooks around 10-15 mins.
I tested the speed and scan everything with Samsung Magician, everything is fine.
