UPDATE: I have since abandoned Opera because of increasingly closed-sourced code and uncertainty around tracking practices. I have moved to FireFox as my #2 to Brave. While I found no evidence of tracking in Opera using WireShark and other tools, I still have no conclusive evidence it is NOT happening. Just my two cents :) have a great day.

Thanks for watching! Download them here:

Firefox beats the hell out of Chrome, especially in privacy

I like Opera, but I've used Vivaldi as my main for the past 2 years. It's so stable, and honestly had more customization than Opera. Being able to add and change what sites appear in the side panel is very important, so if Opera ever improves that, I'll give 'em another chance

Firefox will always be my go-to. Secure, lightweight, great add-ons, great sync, looks cool, built with Rust and Mozilla stands up for user rights

Your description of Vivaldi is a bit odd. It is very customisable - idk if I’d describe it as something basic that “just works” (though it does if you kept it at 100% default). But the reason I use it is *because* I can truly make it my own. I use opera or FF as my backup.

Slimjet browser really needs to be mentioned. It was around well before Brave and Vivaldi with many great innovative features including its own built in ad blocker. It is also built on the Chromium architecture but without the privacy and phone home intrusions that Google is infamous for.

I think it should also have been mentioned that Brave Browser was founded by Brendan Eich, the inventor of JavaScript.

And Vivaldi was founded by Jon von Tetzchner, one of the co-founders of the Opera browser.

Brave is now my primary browser and both Slimjet and Vivaldi are my backups in that order.

And if I need max privacy for a browsing session without going to Tor, and a built-in VPN that has never failed to work for me, unlike Opera's VPN, I use Epic Privacy Browser.

There are also times when I do use Opera. These browsers I have mentioned make up my top 5.

I did have, and still do to some extent, concerns with the Chinese ownership of Opera. However, the Duck Duck Go privacy extension ranks the Opera website quite well and, whilst it does not necessarily follow that the Opera browser should also be the benefactor of that rating, it does provide some added comfort in my view.

A fun fact, Opera also has a "gaming" variant Called Opera GX, it has a CPU and Ram Limiter and also pretty cute looking Customizable UI, also and this is pretty funny, a "Browsers Sounds" option and it's pretty hilarious hearing every time you close/open a Tab, and a Start Page with custom Videogame/Tech News, so you can select any platform you have and news only relate to that platform.

I truly love that browser.

Vivaldi will always be my main browser as it's the only one I know of that supports tab stacking.

I have been using Opera for years as my primary but, have been disappointed in the last 12 or so months with the updates. I just learned about Vivaldi about a week ago and was pleased to find most of the features I like in Opera, can be found in Vivaldi. Why... Vivaldi was founded by one of the founders of Opera. He did not agree with where Opera was going after it's sale so he created Vivaldi.

To be honest, I think we should encourage other browsers and search engines other than Google in order for them to have a competing chance against Google. At first, I was using Chrome and Google search engine and I was bombard with ads on a daily basis. Thank God now I am using Brave and Firefox. Both these browsers are amazing.

Vivaldi is awesome, I had switched to Opera for a while but Vivaldi beats it out I think. Also they just updated to include tracking and ad block, so it's perfect. Best of both worlds.
