I love that the mirror shows someone's deepest desires. Dumbledore's desire was the trust, and intamacy with Grindelwald. The small laugh he gives is sad. He still desires it, and he knows it's wrong, given the things Grindelwald has done.

They need to focus more on Dumbledore and Grindelwald in the next film more than Newt and Co.

This makes me like Grindelwald as a villain a lot more. I believed for years that he was only using Albus and never returned his feelings but after they confirmed he did love him back in the newest interviews and this movie, I definitely see it now. Had it been just a way to use Albus they would have shown Grindelwald smirk after Albus closed his eyes or something but he actually closed his eyes as well. They didn’t have to hold hands but they did and both were insecure and overwhelmed and you can hear it in their breathing in a cinema, better than here because of low quality

Him being a manipulative and selfish person but also being able to love is so interesting because unlike Voldemort, he can understand people and reach out to them on a seemingly personal level and gain their support. He’s so much more dangerous

I love that in these movies Dumbledore wears fancy suits and in Harry Potter he wears comfy robes that look like pajamas

I appreciate the fact that these actors are the same as from Harry Potter movies, who appeared solely on the photograph of younger Albus and Gellert (Jamie Campbell bower as Grindelwald also appeared during the flashback of Gregorovitch being robbed the elder wand).

I love how the actors for the younger versions knew even on set for DH1 in 2009 that grindeldore were lovers:

Campbell Bower will be appearing in flashback scenes as one of the series' key characters, Gellert Grindelwald, who is one of the few magicians to challenge the magical abilities of top wizard, Albus Dumbledore (who is played on screen by Michael Gambon), as well as being the only character to capture his heart.

Even after everything Grindewald has done, and everything he did for him out of love, even when he desperately desires forgivness from his family, he still loves Grindewald, he can't help it, he understands than being the most powerfull wizard in the world is meaningless, compared to being able to love freely, that's the power Lily had, Harry has, and Snape had, raw power it's nothing, compared to love.
