It was so weird we didn’t see thesus grieve about leta at all. All the human and relatable emotions were barely explored.
What I loved about the Hp books is that yes it’s a magical world but it focuses on human things we all experience. Family loss, bullying and friendship.
Here they had those themes but they were no where near explored

The parallel of the duel being similar to when they were younger is actually really cool, but would've been more powerful had we actually seen the first one

"Who would love you now, Dumbledore"
The words of someone who just had a bad breakup.

I will say I was expecting the Kilin to bow to Jacob in Butan, after his scene earlier going to help Lally, his interaction with the Kilin at dinner and to underline how wrong Grindlewald was when he had just said Muggles were the lesser blood.

“Show don’t tell”
They broke the most important rule!
I wanted to see the day Ariana died not just see Dumbledore telling the story.
I wanted to see how him and grindelwald fell in love. Not to just be told they were in love.
Show us!!!!

Things I didn’t like:
1) Tina getting sidelined
2) The revelation of Credence/Aurelius being Aberforth’s son happening in casual conversation
3) Confirmation of Ariana being an obscurial in the same casual conversation
4) Breaking the blood pact so easily, almost accidentally
5) The chilling bowing to Dumbledore didn’t make sense, Dumbledore himself has admitted his fatal mistakes and flaws. Bowing to Newt, or even Jacob, would’ve been more suitable
6) Yusuf Kama is kinda just there. Actually, without Leta Lestrange I don’t think he has much to add to the plot.

Throughout this movie Albus and Aberforth seem pretty close, which is a far-cry from their relationship decades later when they weren't even on speaking terms. In fact it seems like at this point Albus regularly goes to see Aberforth at his home and at the Hog's Head, despite the fact that we are lead to believe he still holds a grudge over Albus for what happened to Arianna. My guess is what will actually strain Albus's relationship with Aberforth has something to do with Credence. Now that Aberforth has his son back, he will undoubtedly want to do everything he can to save his life and to protect him. So my theory is that in the next movie, Gellert has some way to save Credence from dying from the obscurial. He offer Albus to cure Credence if he agrees to join his side. Albus of course refuses, but Aberforth desperate to save his son pleads with Albus to reconsider, and while Albus maybe tempted, he ultimately cannot bring himself to become compromised. So instead Credence dies, and a grief stricken Alberforth goes back to hating his older brother and holding him responsible for everyone they love meeting a tragic end, thus the Dumbledore brothers relationship becomes strained and remains that way for decades.

My theory is that the fourth movie will be the Halfbloodprince of this franchise. Meaning we will learn more about Grindelwalds past, his rise to a leader, his past with Dumbledore and his time in Durmstrang. And as a secondary plotline we could perhaps witness the first opening of the Chamber of Secrets and a young Tom Riddle making contacts in Hogwarts and planning to become a wizarding leader like Grindelwald. And maybe we will see the early affects of World War Two on the Wizarding World.

I'm hoping that Hagrid will appear in the 4th or 5th film, so that we can know if Newt gave him Aragog.

I feel like Newt, Jacob, and the gangs story has concluded on a satisfying ending. I’d love to see one more film with Dumbledore going after Grindelwald for a final confrontation.

I want to say that Madd Mikkelson did a wonderful job playing the role of Grindelwald. Now with that out of the way, by the way the movie started with both Grindelwald and Dumbledore you can foresee that it would end with them both. That dimension scene was a moment for them to reflect on who they are now versus when they were young. This was Dumbledore way of letting it go based on what Newt said to him earlier before the duel. I honestly feel that no matter what they still love each. It was unfortunate that it took till the end of the movie for Dumbledore to get over Grindelwald.

When I heard the news that it was Mads who would play the new Grindelwald, I immediately said, "You can condemn him, this movie, but damn it, look at him in action! ". This person can play with only his eyes. He's incredible.

I feel like when Newt says that he will do it again is not only a line for the character in the movie, but it’s a nod for Redmayne to continue in the magic of this role along with a nod for the audience’s desire to see more adventures after this film. I think the general audience, myself included, is here to see and support more wizarding world adventures so long as the material isn’t a complete dump truck fire

While this ending was alright, I would've actually preferred it if Grindelwald had won this time round, remaining as Supreme Mugwump, but having Newt's speech about the dead Qilin cause the general population to doubt Grindelwald's legitimacy, whilst also having Dumbledore's followers doubt his ability to defeat Grindelwald. The idea of having doubtful and disloyal followers on both sides could've made for an interesting topic to cover in the next movie, but alas, it was never meant to be...

CORRECTION at 3:36. Dumbledore didn't reply that he was all alone. It was Grindelwald who said that line following his initial question, "Who will love you now, Dumbledore?" This is important because Dumbledore would rather choose to be alone than join forces with a murderer just to have a boyfriend. Dumbledore has solid morals, and this is why the Qilin bowed to him.

I was waiting for the flashback scene of Ariana‘s death. Would had been good to see that guilt in screen time.

I really like that Grindelwald is such a complex villain, and that there's something very human about him. Voldemort just seemed straight-up evil, which is fun on screen, but he lacked the depth and intrigue of Grindelwald.

Personally, i think it would have been super cool if the Qilin bowed to Kowalski and he was elected. Would have most definitely created a huge rift in the wizarding world, setting the stage for a huge war.
On one hand, he is pure of heart and possibly the right leader, on the other hand, he is a muggle.
Would have turned the two sides into extremes and given grindlewald an even larger base of supporters.
