I'm a huge admirer of JK Rowling as a writer, but there are a lot of things created as an afterthought. The McGonagall error is a part of it.

Man the students really loved Dumbledore, even the Slytherin's enjoy his teaching style. This just solidifies my wish to go to Hogwarts when Dumbledore was still teaching, i would get Dumbledore for either DADA or Transfiguration, Slughorn for Potions and it would be really cool to be a part of the wizarding world and join the battle against Grindelwald.
