A lot of people are upset about the mention of anarcho capitalism. I don’t really see why this outrage is needed as it seems like he’s trying to avoid calling it a variant of anarchism (while also not saying it isn’t one either), he called it an ‘aspect’ of individualist anarchism instead of calling it a part or branch of individualist anarchism so he’s only stated that anarcho-capitalism is an attempted individualist anarchist ideology without stating whether it is or isn’t one.

I’m not going to say whether I consider anarcho-capitalism a variant of anarchism or not and I’m not going to theorise what he thinks about it. What I will mention is that the A Level programme asserts that anarcho-capitalism is a variant of anarchism so to outright state that it isn’t would risk harm to someone’s results and to say that it is risks making a highly debated statement in a video designed for education.

I think that the lack of an actual acknowledgement of this really works in the video’s favour, no one in education on this topic should be taking a stance and portraying it as fact (even if they were objectively correct/stating a fact) as it would restrict the potential conclusions on this made by the viewers upon further analysis.

On the issue of Anarcho Capitalism, Murray Rothbard, later stated that Anarcho-Capitalism wasn't anarchism in the traditional sense and went on to call himself a nonarchist. I think he should have just said Market Anarchism to begin with which would be consistent with individualist Anarchism as individualist anarchists weren't against markets. I will say between Murray Rothbard and David Friedman I think Rothbard would more closely resemble an anarchist minus the use of the term capitalism. That's why I say Rothbardianism instead of Anarcho Capitalism.

One criticism I have here. Anarcho-Capitalist do not see the state as defending private property rights. We see is as oppositional to private property.

Individualist anarchism and anarcho capitalism are opposed. The individualists hated it. Laurence Labadie and his other egoist contemporaries such as Sydney E Parker mocked it as corporatism for supporting land monopolies and basically every actual individualists like Tucker and Proudhon opposed. Anarcho capitalism is called anarcho capitalism and not anarcho individualism for a reason; because it's not the same thing.
