How to access the service menu on a newer dell monitor

In this video, I will demonstrate how to access the service/factory menu on most newer dell monitors. If this works on you monitor please leave a comment with the model number. I hope this video helps.

Disclaimer: Some of the options in the service menu can ruin your monitor if not used correctly. Use the service menu at your own risk!

Worked on a Dell U3818DW. Its menu is laid horizontally but otherwise same thing -- just use the two buttons further away from the power button. With this I could disable the LCD overdrive that I really dislike. Thank you!

Dell P2217 works! but a bit differently. One need to 1. Switch off. 2. 2buttons (the most left) + power. 3.release 4. 1st button (the most left)

I need help. I changed something, now my monitor dont work anymore, when i turn it on, a white screen apears then the monitor turns off itself, and when i put a hdmi cable on it, the computer screen shows up but the monitor goes on and off every 5 secons. The joystick button dont work anymore, any idea how to fix it?

Thanks for the information. Sadly I couldn't find any information about the settings on the internet. Seems like most are undocumented and untested. What does autocolor do? Or what does burnin in do? It seems to be enabled on some panels and disabled on others.

please help me with service menu on p2314ht dell monitor ! :)

i hold in the top 2 buttons whilst powering on then this causes the power button to flash then stops flashing, ,, this activates osd lockout so no buttons work, only the wall socket controls the on or off of screen




so i powered on the wall socket with top two buttons pressed and then during the flashing of the power button i pressed it, ,, this undid the osd lockout but no where do i find service menu for the HOUR COUNT




outside or inside 2 buttons do colour tests

how else can i get the hour count?
