How are older movies/shows officially turned into blu ray or 4k ? I imagine it must take some sort of manpower seeing as a lot of classic older movies & shows are still being asked for in higher quality, like the blade trilogy or static shock. I get these days it might not sell well but well enough to make, if it isn't something physically taxing to do?

I like that you can take a DVD level movie and get a discounted, uncompressed UHD HDR version. Is going from BR to UHD HDR even less or about the same?

you aren't actually converting anything as they are just giving you a small discount to buy an upgraded version. To many of these Kaleidescape video's are titled or describe it in a way that makes you think you can put your DVD's and Bluerays on the system when that is really far from the truth. You show you have proof that you have an old version and in a lot of instances i have seen it brings the price from say $25 to $20 so you essentially have to buy your entire collection again and be tied to their platform.

A good blue ray player can already up convert to higher resolutions if you have the Hi Res television. The computer can do the same for you for streaming if you have the Hi Res tv.

Converting is absolutely the wrong word. I was expecting some ai upscaling program or something, not a "you can use your dvd as a voucher for a cheaper digital download". Literally zero conversion going on
