I was hospitalized in 1974 at 11 yo. My father gave me a transistor radio and we listened all day to popmusic for several weeks. But this was absolutely NOT our top10...

I understand that many of these charts are based on personal taste, but in 1974 there are also "Waterloo" by Abba and "Sweet home Alabama" both in the top 10 of the US charts, anyway thanks for the video, I had forgotten some of these songs.🍻🍻🍻

As I wrote, and posted for the Top Songs of 1973; 1974 had soul, heart, and plenty of rhythm. Also, the 1970s music has a message, story, or an idea that is communicated; that's the way it is with any very good music. The nineteen seventies are large part of sending a message, and simply playing great music! Also, 1970s music was mostly about the real world.

Examples of Love Unlimited Orchestra - "Love's Theme" is simply wonderful, relaxing, and one of favourite instrumental tunes. Just as Crocodile Rock in 1973, Benny and the Jets by Elton John, 1974 is a work of art; energetic, and tells a story. Then there is "The Way We Were", by Barbara Streisand, another wonderful song, tune about the real world.
