I graduated in 1978 and many of these songs were still going strong.

74 was a fun year and I remember it well I'm a very old man. I am pretty sure Steely Dan's Ricky Don't Lose That Number was number one hit in 74. This brought back some great old memories. Thank you I enjoyed it.

I was 8 years old in 1974 and my Dad owned a luncheonette in Point Pleasant, NJ and the radio was always on. So these are the songs of my youth.

May of 1974, it was time to graduate from High School. The last week of school, one of my class mates decided to participate in the fade that inspired a song. After he ran across the campus, the principal told him he could get his diploma but count not participate in graduation. Our class president told the principal, if he don’t walk none of us will. On graduation day he strolled across the stage and got his diploma to the sound of STREAK!

After graduation, one of our teachers told us he was disappointed in us. None of us yelled, “Don’t Look Ethel!” We missed our opportunity. . .

I graduated high school in 1974. The prom theme was 'Time In a Bottle'. I had all of Jim Croce's releases on cassette.

The 1970's was hands down the greatest decade of music known to mankind. Every genre emerged or was born and thrived in this decade. In case you were wondering why tens of millions of people will risk all they have and crawl to get in the United States, look no further than how our movies and music and freedom of expression is part of the allure.

65 years old and remember all the great songs of the 70’s. Fantastic times . Laid back and cool . Life was fun and social media wasn’t around to give all the doom and gloomers along with the haters a bullhorn. Music technology was in its infancy and it took real talent to shine . And shine it did. Miss them so much.

The first part of 1974 I was in the Navy in Norfolk, VA stationed aboard my first ship. The best songs were in the late part of 1974. I had relocated from Norfolk, VA to San Diego, CA in August to my second ship in the Navy & made my very first Westpac cruise. When will I see you again by the 3 Degrees was my most favorite song of 1974.

I loved Time in a Bottle. And Sundown. We were stationed in Germany from September 1974-78 and John Denver was a favorite as well. We were just out of college. Disco was big. It was quite a change from early 60s hits. Streisand was awesome too! Cats in the Cradle was a great song.
