Bravo. Great interview David. I am still struggling with the implications of Kurt Godel's calculations proving that universes where Einstein Theory of Relativity hold can have closed time loops. In other words, there are time loops in such universes where the past becomes the future.

you can never get back to nothing in the truest sense. Even in the quantum explanation they are positing the pre-existence of certain principles to be there first with no space or time and then out of THOSE popped space and time. So from whence were quantum laws created?

That's the massive flaw and the danger of Intelligent Design, it at its very core is the conviction that there is a limit to what can be learned about the universe and we're already there.

I recently read John Gribbins 'In Search of Schrödinger's Cat: Quantum Physics and Reality', it made quantum theory a bit easy to understand in terms of concepts for a layman like myself, I'd recommend it for anyone interested in quantum physics. One idea was that the whole universe was a wave function and it really just materialized from us interacting with it, even backwards in time to the big bang. I haven't read Lawrence Krauss yet, I think I should.

I'm no scientist but my hunch has always been that there hasn't been a 'beginning'. Human logic tends to assume there has to be a beginning and an end but it may not be the case.
