For the Olive oil, I’ve learned you have to look for oil that comes from a single source, not multiple sources because freshness is compromised.

I have already ordered two of the cookbooks. One showed up right away and I gave it to a friend who had never heard of you. She thanked me like I had given her a gold bar. She couldn’t hardly believe the wisdom packed into it. Then finds out her husband is a big fan and has been watching your videos for months.

Quite by accident I discovered that garlic stuffed olives, diced small, are a delicious addition to chicken salad! It’s now a favorite of mine!

Mary, this video actually made me cry... When I was a little girl I grew up in a very large family and we didn't have a whole lot to eat but we had food at our table every night... Ate as a family every night and was so appreciative for the food on the table... My mother had your talent and I am, many years later, learning more of the pioneer kitchen... I just want you to know how much I thoroughly enjoy your videos and the information that you have imparted... Truly enjoyable and truly a blessing... Thank you my dear. Blessings to you and your family and thoroughly enjoyed the interview with your son.

Your amazing, I’m 69 and been cooking from scratch since I was 15 years old. Learned from my grandmother and mother. You should be having classes for teenage girls. So important to get back to wholesome foods. Don’t stop how you project your messages, you come across beautifully. This is from your Louisiana neighbor.

When we loose power here is when I'm REALLY glad I'm a tent camper. I pull out the Colman stove to cook on (also good to can on and not heat up the house) and get the propane tent heater out, bottled water, gas lanterns and we are good to go.

I could eat green olives w/pimentos forever. Around 40+ years ago when I was pregnant, I ate a whole jar one night. My daughter also loves them. Maybe she got her fill during her time "with me!" :) Also have salmon on my pantry shelf, I'm going to make salmon cakes since we are "turkey'd" out :)

Bergamot is a scientific name for bee balm, or monarda fistulosa, which is one of my favorites in the mint family. It is also a favorite of our friends, the honey bees. Here in Vermont, we lose power in winter more often than I like to think about, and I personally love my coffee cone and pour-over coffee, both because of its taste and because all I need to to do is heat the water, which I can do on my wood stove if the power's out. My other go to for coffee is a french press, but it's a bit messier to clean, and without power, we don't have our water pump. But both these options essentially use just a pour over of water. Interesting and informative, as always, Mary. Thank you!

Bromelain is also good for arthritis. Love pineapple! Aldi has fresh pineapple for under two dollars this week.

Thank you for another informative video. I use canned chicken to make pizza crust for my diabetic brother. Just mix the chicken with an egg and seasonings of your choice, pat into a crust shape and about 1/2" thick and bake. Add your favorite toppings and cheese, bake until the cheese is bubbly and enjoy.

Thanks so much Mary ❣️🤗
FYI - the artichokes in oil are very low in sodium for anyone watching their salt intake!

I love olives! I bought a few as well! I like to purchase the low sodium kind when available. The kalamata I love on home made pizza but I always rinse them off first and dry them first. Thx for the video!

I use mushrooms so much that I purchase a box of them at a time at Aldi's (24 cans). When I use to have friends over for dinners, I would make a marinara sauce with a LOT of large pieces of green peppers, onions and mushrooms, and no one realized that there was no meat in it! Another recipe I tried this year was mushroom and onion soup that I canned. I can eat it as is or use a jar in just about any pasta recipe I make. I got the fresh mushrooms when I found them marked down, so I had various types including some dried types. Delicious!

One thing I wanted to warn viewers about was B6 vitamin. The outside of my lower legs started to go numb several years ago. Got tested by my neurologist, and she said she gets a patient about every 2 or 3 years who has overdosed on B6. I was only taking a normal daily multivitamin, and I had to stop it. The feeling in the legs came back. It is rare, but can happen.

Hello Mary. So wonderful to see you. I sorely missed your lessons. With the coconut milk, frozen raspberries & ice can be added into a blender. Blend it and soon you will have a yummy sorbet. Much more economical than purchasing it in the market.

Hey Friend! What a great video. We do not have Aldi in the PNW but the info you share along the way is also so very valuable. It was a good listen while I worked on some freezer meals and a berry crisp for dessert tonight. 😊
I hope you’re doing well!
God Bless You and the family.
