Thanks for the shout out guys. Totally unexpected. Update on the Super 8 cine projector and films. I did get it out of the loft and it was so great to learn that it still worked after 'Donkey's years' when I first time plugged it in. It took powers of memory of how to load a film and run it through, but it worked. It was great to hear that old 'click, click, click' sound as the the old film ran through the projector from one reel to the other. I am now in the process of replacing the lamp (if poss), so that we can view the old films on the original free standing, 'pull up roller screen'. Can you remember those ? Of course these days, you can get old cine film put onto DVD but it is something I've never got round to. There's nothing better than the nostalgia of a screen in the living room with the lights out and the buzz of a projector. How times have changed eh ? If not for your Vlog, it would still be in the loft. Thank you. P.S. Mrs. D., , , I am stickler for getting this the right way round and you have it right. The English 'Merry' Christmas originates from the 1500's followed by a 'Happy' New Year. Queen Elizabeth 11 and the Americans chose to change the norm. I also hate Christmas being abbreviated to Xmas. I'm not religious at all but it's just not right to do so. Either way, Sophie and I wish you and yours a wonderful Christmas. Its always Merry Christmas and a happy new year. You keep saying Merry Mrs D as its much better than Happy.
Christmas will be a lot different this year but I will still keep my tradition of seeing the grandkids and then going to my parents for an hour . I wont be going to my brothers though for Boxing day as normal. Think a quiet one at home with the hubby. Might go to the pub for a few drinks at the bottom of the garden but that will be it.
Can't go to England to see the step kids and grandchildren and hubby best mate can't come here to spend the new year with us. First time in 11 years. I have a BIG smile on my face for that one :D
