In the mid '00s there was a "games don't need writers" push from executives looking to cut game production costs. Yes, hiring someone who knows how to write is not a minimum wage gig... they turned it into a minimum wage gig and got fan fic writers writing games.

My favorite thing about west coast fallout is how we are able to have a convo with concerned parties, and giving you the headspace to analyze their intention, delusion, or naivity, or a mixture of em all. You were able to talk with the Master; you were able to talk with President Dick, you were able to talk with Hanlon, House, Vulpes, Caesar, The King about the concerned issues.

And the DLCs got better on that regard. Dead Money's convos are beautiful; despite the plot shallowness of Honest Hearts, the convos with the main characters was fresh, OWB is just Avellone pulling his pulp culture catalogue, and (drumrolls) Lonesome Road's recordings, ED-E's backstory, the whole hippie protest in pre-war Hopeville, hot damn.

I am just sad that I couldn't expect this again on a "fallout" game again, or more so, get my brain fried with people implying canonicity equates profundity.

Clip #2 is from Bulletproof Monk which is...an okay film. I enjoyed it but I also enjoy shitty movies sometimes. Also it means I can eat a hotdog even if I'm out of buns.
