As an experienced system integrator, I can confidently say this is not “IDEAL FOR” anything. If Arduino want to play with the big boys, at least get a proper IEC61131 IDE/debugger and abstract away communications, hardware configuration, real time task management, motion control (as implied by the videos) etc into the IDE - the cost of system integration is in engineering, not hardware. And frankly, the hardware is not that cheap when compared to low end PLCs with MUCH more capability out of the box. Am I missing something?
