One of the ways I keep spaces clutter free is by taking photos. When I’ve decluttered a room and am happy with the way things look, I take a picture of every surface/piece of furniture. I can remove items or replace…but not add anything. As someone who always puts stuff down where it doesn’t belong, I find l don’t do it as much anymore because now I can pull out my phone and check the photos to see what does and doesn’t belong.

Thank you. Yes I tend to keep the things I am giving away. Reason I don’t drive. It becomes clutter. I get stuck every time I do one area but can’t seems to complete it. So there are many incomplete areas. I don’t know how to end it.

Great video! I think I'm on my 5th or 6th homes for my stationery and my beading supplies. No worries though, someday they will find their permanent homes. My sewing supplies are in their home now, I'm just still trying to figure out their final configuration. Strangely I enjoy it. Have a safe trip and wonderful visit back home.

The electricity is trying to declutter itself, I just about died when you said that🤣 But yes truly, I always box things up and it takes over my garage when in my head I got rid of it. I need to make a better habit of taking it away for good, great tips all around, thank you!

Great video Laura. It's given me quite a few ideas. Especially setting aside a specific time to tackle our in trays, mine, his, joint, etc. I'm actually off to the charity shop with donations tomorrow and our old camping equipment has been cleaned, checked and I was going to advertise it this weekend but a friend is buying most of it! So obviously"mates rates" are less but I'm happy for it all to go. And I plan on using the money on things for the house and garage.

Yeah, That's one of many reasons why I find it so hard to actually go through the decluttering process... in the back of my mind, I know It's just going to "fill up" again, and probably be worse, in a short time. hardly seems worth it, sometimes.... but I know that it IS worth it.... it's just another "excuse".... but... still it's a struggle.
