In this video, I aim to give an overview and create a little bit more understanding of what it's like for those of us who have invisible illnesses and invisible disabilities who suffer on a daily basis without being seen.

I talk about some of my journey in living with an invisible disability, the conditions I have and the things I've done to try and manage them!

I ❤️ didn't know, I am legally blind but highly functional. I can't drive but I learned how to memorize my traveling, I've even traveled out of the country. I totally identity with you because invisible Disability is depressing i always felt misunderstood and I was. I'm glad to see this! ❤❤❤❤❤

I could see how moving this was for you to talk about at some points - it was like you really went through some of that range of emotions you talked about in the video again while explaining it all: the sadness, the rage...

I have a friend who has a sleeping disorder which is very much an invisible disability and over the past decade or so of doing things with her out and about, I've seen how many people really don't get it, and heard so many horror stories from her of people just unwilling to make really reasonable adjustments to accommodate her needs. Sometimes totally unbelievable.

I'm sorry you have to deal with all that. That really sucks.

I've been diagnosed with a cocktail of things as well and still in the midst of figuring it all out. I have had all this over 20 years and didn't get most of my diagnosis until last year. I feel sick all the time, pain all the time, dizzy all the time, tired all the time, alone all the time. People don't believe me and they think I'm faking it because I look great. My daughter at one years old was diagnosed with idiopathic juvenile arthritis. There has been times while I'm in so much pain trying to take care of my daughter with her own invisible disabling pain. The schools acting like my daughter fakes it. That is after she already has been established as disabled with a 504 plan. Invisible disabilities are real and not everyone is a drama queen. Blacking out on a date is extremely embarrassing and not a way to someone's heart.

The one thing I do know that helps me is singing. The extreme emotions I feel from my Invisible disabilities is let out through music. Writing down how I feel helps as well. It's hard to talk to someone about it, they think you are exaggerating or they say "you're probably just pregnant" nope!
