Two months earlier on January 25th it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #2 {for 3 weeks} and spent 14 weeks on the Top 100...
And on the same show Jeannie C. Riley sang her #1 hit "Harper Vally PTA" and the Association did "Goodbye Columbus", which reached #80...
R.I.P. CCR's Tom Fogerty {1941 - 1990} and Mr. Sullivan {1901 - 1974}...
