What a story John, my brother died in 89 and he loved your music. When he was in the hospital waiting for the inevitable, he had CCR on his headphones.

John, I’m 86 years old I lived your life I lived in Colorado in the mountains at the time and I just gotten out of the service. I just got married and I wanted to do what you did but I went the other way and I raised eight boys, but I have every song that you’ve ever done. My wife loves. Have you stop the rain she thinks that’s the greatest song ever was and I’m proud that you have your family and the mistakes. we make is how we learn a lot by being successful. God bless you and your family and I love hearing your little stories because I never got to see even when you was at red rocks. I wasn’t five minutes away I just had to work. God bless you again.

One of my best early memories was being in grade two in 1969, and my older brother was in grade 7 playing in a band called Sunshine Express (how 60s is that?) at a talent contest at the school. They played Proud Mary, and Crimson and Clover...Won the contest too!
Many more great memories from being a kid to a teen involved your music John.
The nostagia is enough to make a guy weep.

Thank you, John; “Proud Mary” was also one of my favorites!!! I was in 3rd it 4th grade at the time and our Student Teacher was directing our class in a school play to which the girls were dancing to “Side ‘O The Road” from Willy and The Poor Boys.
