Independent journalist Mic Wright has said "free speech is under threat" from the government and that the Met Police is "lying" about arrests made on the Coronation weekend.

Metropolitan Police bosses are to be questioned by the London Assembly over the force's treatment of protesters during the celebrations. A total of 64 people were arrested.

All the while the legislation was making it's way through parliament the main stream media didn't cover, now they are feigning concern.

The ‘activists’ had been in conversation with police for 6 months-police knew where they would be etc etc yet still they were arrested.

Good to see the police directly called out for their lies

Sounds like we need to hold the monarchy and police to account.

How do we deal with traitors historically again?

I'm glad he corrected her on the term 'anti-monarchy' - people just want justice and fairness and to be able to feed their families. HOw come there are loads of comments here and they're not being counted.

20 years time the Monarchy will have very few fans left judging by the average age of the people in the Mall, take away the Tourists and it was very thin on the ground with UK nationals much to the annoyance of the BBC Sky etc

having people arrested for NO Crime at the same time as the King is swearing an Oath to Protect the LAW and just beyond belief

If I arrested someone illegally wouldn't that be considered as kidnapping

Ah, the tyrant police tactic of assumption of a possible crime. Basically, arbitrary, which goes against human rights. Every officer involved need to be arrested and charged with human rights violations, and forced to go back through their basic training to retake the oath they have just broken (to uphold fundemental human rights)

If Sky put as much effort into investigative journalism as it does into hiding comments on its YouTube clips, the media landscape would be much healthier.
