I'm Swiss too and this is typical young people thinking, they are bored of the small town life so they want to go to a busy city where there is lots of distractions, especially US cities. When they get older they start to realise what they want in life is a place to make a home, family, calm environment, safe, clean, well kept society and family not too far away. She will eventually want that life again. In Switzerland it is extremely safe, you can make tons of money, live in a nice place, go hiking and skiing all year, explore Europe. I cannot stand the city life, dirty, lots of crime, high living costs compared to salary, noisy and people come and go so fast so its hard to get life long friends who stay there.

Yeah anyone that has been to Switzerland knows there is PLENTY to do if you like nature and the outdoors. It’s insanely beautiful, safe, clean, peaceful. She takes for granted how great of a country it is.

I’m Canadian living in Switzerland for the past 25 years. At first, I also thought who people don’t smile or talk to stranger, but now I realize that peace and the permission to just be quiet is gold, I appreciate that so much now as I’m older now, no one will bother you or try to chat you up. I get it, if you are single or new to the country, it is harder to make friends.
I love the quieter life, clean & free drinkable water flowing out of fountains, the lakes and mountains.
I used to miss all the great Asian restaurants in Toronto, I still do but you know what I learned to cook and it’s way healthier. I love it here.

Yeah. This girl is just into different things. Not a fan of Miami, at all. Switzerland blows Miami out of the water. Period.

I’m American and have lived in Switzerland and there’s just NO comparison! The quality of food, infrastructure, roads, rail are waay better than here in the US. This girl is probably attracted to the McMansion or plastic aspect of the US. The older she gets she’ll get wiser and realize what she left behind is a much better quality of life.

She likes the glamour, it’s all part of social media influencing her decisions, Switzerland is one of the most amazing places on the planet!

There is plenty to do there if you love nature and outdoors. I hiked 126 miles in 6 days and it was one of my favorite trips ever. Everyone was so nice as well.

I’ve lived in Florida for 4 years, lived in Dubai, Ohio, NC and visited any places. My sister lives in Switzerland. Switzerland is by far the best place I’ve been to

Im from Switzerland and lived in Los Angeles for 5 years and loved it, however I decided to move back to my country when I met my American wife because raising a family in Switzerland is way better in many ways such as education that is free and amongst the best in the world, safety, health system that is at a such incredible high standard, great incomes, pure air and water, peacefulness, stable economy and political system, the possibility to travel to neighboring countries in only a few hours of driving, mountain sports, Alps, etc.. etc.. Californians and Americans are definitely more outgoing and friendly at first on everyday basis but the swiss, once you get to know them, will take longer to open up but will become real friends for life

The only way is for you to go to Switzerland live there for a few months and see the difference between how people usually behave. Then report back to us

At 24 years old the only place you don't want to be is where your from. Its so lame there and everyplace else is great. Then 30 rolls around and your like, there's no place like home.

Swiss people are very kind and helpful!
Last time I was in Switzerland, I went to IKEA, but my membership from my country didn’t work. The guy behind to me helped me get a discount.
When I was in Geneva, I accidentally entered the wrong address and ended up about 5 km from where I was supposed to be. I found an underground train station, and even though I couldn’t speak French, a kind lady helped me out.
Everyone I’ve met in Switzerland has been very kind and respectful!
