1. "Divide by half" is not an operator. Either "half" or "divide by *a* half".

2. You finally get something right - though it should say "costs" instead of "cost" in the second line.

3. Technically correct, but you are using numbers in an apparent positional notation system to mean absolutely nothing.
One has to wonder where this should ever be helpful.

4. Simple wordgame. Nothing to do with calculus, not to speak of mathematics.

Here's a simple and fun maths task:
What special kind of numbers do you get when you add consecutive odd numbers starting from one?
Show why that is.

The first one should’ve been Divide 50 by a half and add 20

This is not a math test, but an interpretation test.

#1: 120
#2: $0.05
#3: 54325
#4: 42

I didn't really understand number 3. Just assuming that a number can attain the value of another number is silly.

"Divide 50 by half?" Half of what? (< __ <)

The first question: Its quite wrong, because you would rather need to say 'Divide 50 by a half' for the answer to be true. So you put an 'a' inside there. The third question: You cannot change a rule that goes by as same with other parts of the rule. Such as: 2=10, 3=15, 4= 25. No, you have to write 4=20 accordingly to the rule that you have already set.

This is actually logical puzzles, and it has a connection with how good you are with maths, so the video isn’t as bad as it seems...

I have a PhD in math...Guess I got it by mistake

The third question is not a valid question. You cannot simply claim 1 = 5 like that. You can say that the function of 1 is 5 Ex: f(1) = 5.

I believe that the 1 = 5 question is not correctly stated.
It should say:
"If 1 = 5 AND "=" obeys the symmetry axiom of equality" or "Imagine that you have an equality such that 1=5".

This is my argument:
If  1 = 5 ;   THEN   "=" is not the traditional equal sign;   THEN   symmetry of "=" is not guaranteed(is unknown).

Hence,
You can't claim that 5 = 1

Question 3 technically isn't a valid math question because "1 = 5" is saying that 1 equals 5, which isn't true. And you can't just make it true. To make it valid you need to add a function name like:
If F(1) = 5
F(2)=25
F(3)=325
F(4)=4325
F(5)=??
But then there's no reason for F(5) = 1.

This is technically not proper use of grammar because it tricks you sayng half which in your mind you think 25, when he didn't add any kind of 1 in there I don't really think that is a fair way to say that 10% are geniuses when the questions don't make sense.

These are not math questions they are trick questions In a math test they would say 50 divided by 0.5 not half

The apple one got me. I actually minus 327 with 42, then facepalmed when seeing the answer.
