Central forces have significantly heightened surveillance along the India-Bangladesh border amid escalating unrest in Bangladesh. On the ground, the situation is increasingly tense following the resignation and subsequent departure of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Control has now shifted to the Bangladeshi military, widely interpreted as a coup. The military announced Hasina's departure on television, urging citizens to abandon violence and return to their homes, and assuming responsibility for restoring peace. On Monday, Sheikh Hasina arrived in India, landing at Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad on a Bangladesh Air Force C-130J military transport plane, and is planning to travel to London. Shortly after her arrival, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval met with her, likely briefing her on India's stance regarding the unfolding situation. Meanwhile, Bangladeshi President Mohammad Shahabuddin accepted Hasina's resignation, ordered the release of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia from house arrest, and declared the dissolution of Parliament, forming an interim government. This marks the end of the Awami League-led government and the beginning of the process for a new government. Several videos of the violence in Bangladesh have surfaced, showing protesters breaking into Parliament and the Prime Minister's residence, carrying various items from the residence, and chanting slogans inside Parliament. The situation remains fluid, with both countries on high alert. Here's an exclusive ground report from India-Bangladesh Border by India Today's Anupam Mishra
