In the '50s, it was about 15 minutes till dinner time. A Snickers commercial came on TV and I was sold! I snuck out of the house and walked to a convenience store about 5 minutes away, used my only nickel to buy a Snickers, ate it voraciously, walked back home and snuck in in time for dinner. Nobody knew what I had done, and 60+ years later I'm admitting it for the first time.

I used to work in that plant. Every morning I would grab a couple from the rejected bin (rejected because the wrapper wasn’t right) and take them home. Nothing better than a fresh bar right off the line

I’ll never forget as a kid growing up in Mexico. My dad would always bring a box of snickers from the U.S. it was amazing 😩 since they didn’t sell them. Once in while I buy myself a snicker here in the U.S to remember my childhood 😌.
