In spite of Leonard's dark motive, it still doesn't change the fact that only him and Penny achieved to get that happy friendly hug from Sheldon. Only the two made Sheldon extremely happy. And the two really deserved the recognition during his nobel prize award speech as his bestest friends. Amy doesn't count because she is his gf/wife, so she is a different category.

Man, Sheldon’s living that dream to go on a steam excursion; it would be cool to check one out sooner or later. I’m not as into trains as Sheldon, but I do like to watch them go right by at the crossings or take a nice ride to the nearest train yard, plus I’ve thought about collecting.
