Pointless Elevator! High Waters Render This Elevator Useless!

[Recorded 3-23-19] This is a really old video I uncovered from my backlog, and it's so old that it was before this elevator got completely replaced by Elevator Technology. Normally, this elevator would bring you from the street down to the ship entrance. However as seen in this video, the water was so high that the bridge was able to just go straight to the ship entrance! That meant this elevator was serving no purpose! It just went up to a balcony. It's not every day I see this happen so I had to take this video. Pretty cool! Enjoy one of my last rides on this elevator when it was original.

Someone shelled out a lot of money for an elevator, that has no practical use except going from the dock to the observation deck. Even one of the elevators at the Kaiser Medical Center in Oakland, CA only served one floor (and was traction) but it did serve a needed purpose for doctors, patients

The Pier elevator in Huntington Beach that is USELESS, it's been turned off for almost 2 years will likely never be use ever again since there is a ramp on the otherside of the pier go from beach level to pier level. I forgot how bad this elevator was.

I find it weird how teknikkly this is floating above water at the dock the elevator is on because it looks like they had this as a temporary structure and they never took it out
