Grew up watching your videos, I am 24 now and occasionally pop by and watch. I am now married, and have a job as a teacher. #1 thing for me with relationships is really truly understanding that your own feelings, wants, and desires are not the only ones at stake. You may roll your eyes and think “obviously”, but really think about it. Being wealthy and successful clouds a man’s judgement, and makes them more self centered. This isn’t inherently bad, as it’s part of the reason you become successful. It was learning a balance, and truly being receptive to my partners needs and desires that led to the amazing relationship I have with my wife. We’ve been together since we were 17, done long distance and gone through some really shitty times. The ability to to be selfless and persevere through those moments is what separates a good relationship from a toxic or unbalanced one. Food for thought I guess

Damn, listening to Matt talk about taking the time to self reflect and really figure himself out really made me take a step back and realize the same thing for myself. I've been in a spiral of depression and bad decisions for a few months now, and just last week I ruined the best chance I've had at a solid relationship in a really long time, all because I overthink and made a really stupid impulsive decision that I thought would be the best thing to do. This video has really made me see things from the other perspective and I didn't know I needed that
