I’m glad someone finally talked about mentally breaking down after missing or making a bad shot, as someone who shoots tournaments that is a very big thing that people deal with, it is very important to be mentally into every shot

Bro! Thank you thank you on mentioning the mental aspect of the shot. I own and run a small archery shop as a side hustle, and also coach our 4h shooting sports archery kids as well as shooting 3D. Everything you just said was 100% spot on. I see all 4 of these all the time. I wish more folks realized how important the Mental side was. I struggle with getting in my own head a lot. Consistency is the key. I have even told a few of my kids, I don't care if you are doing it wrong...if you do it the exact same way of wrong every time I can make you accurate lol. The two most noticeable to me are the anchor and front hand for sure. Great video. Keep up the great work.

Some really good info especially for those just getting into archery. Another thing I know people do that does NOT help them is having TOO HEAVY A DRAW WEIGHT! This will without any doubt lead to improper drawing and holding the draw. It's imperative you be able to smoothly and easily draw in a controlled manner. This will let you come to proper anchor so much more effectively. Just saying ! ( slinging arrows since 1963)

Great video, thank you very much. I’m not sure if went over this in a previous video, but what release are you using? It looks like a hybrid of a clamp/tension with a wrist strap. I’m interested in buying one like this to use at the range AND for hunting. Thanks! 🍻

Is there no moleskin or anything on your rest? Cause the arrow sliding on it is loud

Mistake nr5, how peolpe can't draw their bows correctly!! Even so called "experts" who do reviews on bows seems to not know how to draw a bow. They seriously need to watch people like MFJJ and Tom Clum and his archery mechanics and learn from scratch cuz i can't take anyone seriously who can't draw correctly. Is it something that messes up the performance? No but in a long term i guess you can get hurt from having a terrible draw cycle and what i see is that people who draw with the bow pointing upwards and draws towards their chest seems to struggle with a too heavy poundage.

#5 incorrect draw. See it ALL THE TIME when guys draw across the chest rather than across the side of their head. When I see guys do that I know in 30 years they're going to need cortisone shots and shoulder surgery.

How about stop acting like a macho man and try to get draw weights more than you can handle
