As someone who's new to archery in general and looking to bow hunt for the first time this year, I would love to see more teaching like this from you. Thanks for putting out so much content!

I've shot bows for 44 years drawing with a level elbow, not down or higher up like you demonstrated in the video and never had a problem until recently. I put heavier switch weight mods on my Vertix and strained the top of my arm between the bicep and tricep just below my shoulder. Changed the mods back and still felt discomfort until I tried your higher elbow leverage technique, no pain at all and much easier for me to draw back my bow. Thanks for the tip about drawing back properly, I have a couple of hunting trips planned for the fall and was a little worried about doing alot of practice this year.

Seriously! I have been drawing my bow the wrong way for years. I just tried your way. So much easier. I bit awkward at first. Time to practice :) . Thank you Chris

Thank you so much for your video. I am just starting out in Archery. My wife bought me a bow for Father’s Day and we have been going to the archery range about once a month since then. My biggest struggle at first was decreasing the draw poundage but once I swallowed my pride it made everything easier.

I used to pull 60 lbs the first way Chris said the first time, cause thats the way the bow shop techs told me to. Straight to my chest for some reason and my shoulders were killing me so badly i couldnt shoot back to back days. so then one day i tried pulling the bow back similar to the way Chris did, bow straight out, high elbow and straight back and i was able to pull back with little to no pressure or pain. So that definitely helped me out, and now im shooting an 80 Lb bow almost every day !

Why oh WHY did I wait 30 years to get back into archery? I've gone from just trying to be a bowhunter to trying bowfishing to having my daughter get into archery due to going bowfishing to being a volunteer coach in her JOAD team. Talk about rewarding! These are the very things we stress with our new archers. Having a great video demonstration is immensely helpful. Thanks. Big fan just trying to pass on the passion and gift! Keep up the great work. We both have excellent taste in bows too! Cheers!

I used to draw the first way Chris demonstrated for years at 70lb and had a D-loop breakage a couple months ago. That sudden shock during mid-draw and poor form dislocated my left shoulder (bow hand side). I don't sky draw so at least the arrow went safely downrange.

Thank you for putting this together. I've been teaching myself to shoot a bow and archery hunt for about 6 years now. I was drawing the bow wrong and not always paying attention to my grip. I've put these things into practice the last two times I've shot my bow. What a difference! I'll have no problem going to a slightly heavier draw weight and I was able to get my new VXR dialed in. With time, I will definitely be shooting tighter groups at the 40 - 70 yrd ranges.

Thank you for bringing this to everyone's attention. Sometimes people just don't know what they are doing wrong until you show them an example just like you did. Your examples were perfect. Setting up for the shot and doing everything the same exact way, every time, will improve your accuracy. Two of the biggest mistakes I see are face pressure on the string and not relaxing your bow hand through the shot. Try to hold the pin on target until you hear the arrow hit the target. Great video Mr. Bee, thank you!

Thanks Chris for your easy going knowledge
I am a new archer and am self teaching and so far your videos keep me interested enough to grasp the material.
Appreciate you for your time and videos.

You saved me from hurting myself again. I shot my first compound today and my shoulder ligaments are killing me because of drawing across the chest. Thanks man gotta get use to not shooting like a recurve.

Literally just the other day was looking for a video of your draw from the side like this. Almost like you knew we all needed it. Thanks for sharing Chris. Love your content!

Low key hard to concentrate on what you’re saying when the music sounds like someone having an asthma attack in the background lol

Thank you for this video! It helped me immensely, especially with the draw cycle. I was previously drawing in a more flat fashion which didn't hurt. But I tried out your way today and it felt worlds better and was way easier to do for a long shoot session! Thanks!

Great video. Bought my first bow today. I know this may seem pretty routine for more experienced shooters but I thought it was a ton of good info. Looking forward to seeing what else I can learn from you

I’m the triple check guy 😅 it’s such an irritating habit that I’ve formed. When you said “if I’m talking directly to you” that hit my soul haha. Working on it tho! Love your content dude! Much love from Hawaii! 🤙🏽
