My uncle does hvac and takes home complete ac units that are old and then takes them apart at his house. Do techs ever have to take the ac unit apart on the job actual job sight or do they just disconnect it from the home and then take it away and deal with it later.

It Is Just A Poorly Designed Cage . It Could Easily Be Made Better And I Have Seen Many Made Better. You Never Know Peoples Reasons And May Miss A Valuable Opportunity . People With Rentals, Businesses And Homeowners Want Cages Because Of Theft to Prevent Vandalism I Have Seen Some Required To Renew Insurance That Would Cover The Equipment After They Had A Couple Of Claims. Whatever The Reasons I've Seen Cage Installs Starting At $1, 500 And Up With The Person Installing Them Making Slightly Under 6 Figures .A Person I Worked For Made Real Good Money When He Sold Them . He Never Mentions Them Unless They Ask.
