Adding Lucas Transmission Fix to Funny Transmission. Experiment. Will it work?

Got this 2007 Ford Expedition at the auction, Transmission was shifting funny. It had skip between first and second gear, and Transmission kicked or jerked moment before stop. So I decided to add some Lucas Transmission fix additive. Check out If it worked or not.

Those transmissions do jerk in between 1st and 2nd. However the Lucas additive is good even in a healthy transmission.

Today I put Lucas into my 1998 Silverado and so far it shifts great.

I used Lucas in a Jeep AW4 transmission that slipped or delayed shifting and it worked! This transmission is now working perfectly.

Fords are notorious for this downshift issue. A custom tune on your computer or a chip or a programmer would help as well, to change shift points. A shift kit might also help.

I got same problem with you, 1 to 2 gear is slip, 2 to 3, 4 are fine. Also when stop (from 4 to 1, is kicking), I did cleaning the transmision was many clogs also the pump was not work correctly and now works fine

Thank you, for your advice on adding the lucas fluid! My 02 rav4 has a slow acceleration its an automatic transmission.

I have an old 2004 Lincoln Aviator doing similar things. For $10….I’m going to try it.
It looked like the mechanic must have changed the fluid if he brought it up on a lift, right ?

Do I have to pull out 700 ml from my car's transmission fluid before putting Lucas fluid?

My Town and country Chrysler does the same thing, and if you come to a stop it delays going into first but if you try to take off just before it jumps into first it slips

I just did mine I changed the filter put the same fluid added a bottle of Lucas and it works better

Lucas does work awesome sometimes, but it does not "fix" mechanical problems.

This product will thicken transmission fluid which will increase the oil pressure which will help poor shifting for a worn transmission and old leaking internal seals will cause oil pump to lose pressure over time! A temporary fix but will buy you some time!

Who can give me some 411 on my comment. Tranny fluid was low, added 1qt. Within a few blocks my SUV wasnt slipping on take off. But like 5/6 blocks down the road my truck gave off a big loud bang and when i came to stop sign the truck wouldnt go forward. Reverse works fine, does anybody know what that bang couldve been and thats why it wont move in drive. Thanks for any 411people.
