My guess: The Darkin Glaive somehow is causing unrest in the Spirit Realm making Spirits fight, leading Yunara to reach out for help and finding Xin. Xin wants to reconnect with his Ionian roots after failing in Demacia so hard, so he helps Yunara calm the spirits and ends up taking the Darkin Glaive himself, leading to a GP style update/rework for Xin where he now has the Glaive and is successfully suppressing it.
