Pick your Sunfounder kit up so you get the same results I do:

You can get the oscilloscope like I use in this lesson. Note, you do not have to have an oscilloscope to complete this class, but it is helpful in troubleshooting your circuits:

You guys can help me out over at Patreon, and that will help me keep my gear updated, and help me keep this quality content coming:

In this video I show you how to control a simple stepper motor using an Arduino. We use the 28BYJ-48 stepper motor, and the ULN2003 Stepper Motor Driver. We show you how to connect the project up, and then how to program it. We show how to control both the speed, direction, and position of the servo motor. Enjoy!

It is testament to how much you have taught me (from zero) that I can follow an entire lesson like this and it all makes sense.

My next project is adding remote controlled stepper motor to my front picture window's vertical blinds as I have not found any remote control products for vertical blinds. I already have the same stepper motors/driver boards as you used, but I believe that I will use an ESP8266 for less of a power demand. Since I have some slack in the vertical twisting rod to adjust the amount the vertical blinds open/close I think that I will need to add a pot to a single blind to monitor their actual position. Once I get the bugs worked out I will add this setup to my Home Assistant. I will probably do a trial using a regular Arduino. I also need to design and 3D print a base for the motor, ESP8266 and battery. Maybe I will try the same project with a Pico W on one of the other windows. Great video! Thanks

Paul the o-scope you have suggested is not available, is there a different scope or a sub?
(I will not be able to read your reply because YT will not let me see them. I don't know how to fix this)

I noticed the motor doesn't rotate at all when I use rpms slightly higher than 20 (you also mention that the useful range you're getting is somewhere near 15). Isn't that a bit low? And why can't it handle such speeds?

Hello, how to run power down mode in both Arduino and RC522? By bringing the card close to the RC522 module and using the interrupt mode in both modules, the system is started and after running, it goes into power down mode twice to extend the battery life. If this is not the case, the battery will run out in two weeks.
in arduino and mfrc522.PCD_WriteRegister(MFRC522::CommandReg, 0x10); in rc522

My stepper motor just buzzes and doesnt rotate. I did the lesson a few more times to make sure i wasnt missing something. I tried another identical motor and driver and have the same result. Any ideas what i am doing wrong?

Another great lesson. Here's my homework. This one was fun!

I made the buttons do larger steps than you asked for just because I got tired of pushing the buttons repeatedly.
