Good information👍 Nice, simple technique for dealing with four strands.
You could temporarily fasten a hose clamp to the ends when you're burning them.
Aproximately one foot before the end you could also install hose clamps or tying wire. Then tape over them and run the four strands straight to create an even more comfortable grip.
